Relationship-Led Development
Building trust through consistent, meaningful relationships.
The RESTA Alternative Provision Programme
One programme. Individually designed around every young person.
At RESTA, we don’t offer fixed packages of support because no two young people are the same.
Instead, we design a personalised Alternative Provision Programme around each child or young person’s strengths, needs, interests and aspirations.
Every programme is built upon the evidence-informed RESTA Framework and evolves as confidence, relationships and readiness develop.

How we work
Every young person begins from a different place.
Some may require support at home before they feel ready to enter the community. Others may need development within school, emotional regulation strategies or support to prepare for successful reintegration into education.
Rather than asking families or schools to choose from a list of services, RESTA designs one personalised programme that grows and changes alongside the young person.

RESTA Alternative Provision Programme
Elements of a programme
These are not separate services to select from. They are the threads we weave together, in the order and depth a young person is ready for.
Building trust through consistent, meaningful relationships.
Meeting young people where they feel safest and gradually building confidence.
Using everyday experiences to develop independence, confidence and life skills.
Supporting emotional regulation, resilience and self-confidence.
Working alongside parents and carers to create consistent support around the young person.
Supporting gradual, successful transitions back into education where appropriate.
Adapting development to meet individual learning, communication and sensory needs.
Helping young people prepare for key educational and life transitions.
No two the same
Every child begins from a different place.
Every journey is unique.
Our role is to understand where they are today and help them move confidently towards tomorrow.
There is no standard RESTA programme.
Some programmes last a few weeks. Others continue over many months. Some begin within the family home. Others start in school or the community.
Every programme is reviewed regularly and adapted to meet the changing needs of the young person.
Our foundation
Every Alternative Provision Programme follows the principles of the evidence-informed RESTA Framework: safety before connection, connection before identity, identity before autonomy, and autonomy before future planning. The framework decides the sequence; the young person sets the pace.
Whether a young person requires early intervention, longer-term Alternative Provision or support returning to education, we will work alongside schools, families and professionals to create the right pathway forward.
