Safeguarding
Safeguarding is not a policy we keep in a drawer. It is the practice that makes relational work safe — for young people, for families and for our RESTA Specialists.

Our commitments
All concerns, disclosures and low-level worries are recorded on MyConcern, giving a clear chronology and audit trail for every young person.
RESTA Specialists work to explicit boundaries around contact, transport, social media, physical contact and lone working. Boundaries are revisited in supervision.
We recognise that disclosure often follows trust. Our response is calm, believing and proportionate, and never places the burden of proof on a child.
Enhanced DBS checks, references and safeguarding training are completed before any RESTA Specialist works with a young person.
Every RESTA Specialist receives regular supervision so that risk is shared, practice is challenged and no one carries a concern alone.
We share information appropriately and promptly with schools, social care and Local Authorities, and we escalate without delay when a child may be at risk.
If you are worried about a child or young person, contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead at safeguarding@resta-ap.co.uk or call +44 7718 246 640. If a child is at immediate risk of harm, contact your Local Authority children's services or call 999.
Commissioners can request our full safeguarding policy, insurance details and DBS assurances before placement.
